Now, for your exercise program for today and until next Friday…  It‘s all about your Cardiovascular Exercise. So here it is!

 Cardio

Overview:

To Make your Cardiovascular Exercise More Enjoyable and Effective – Choose An Activity That You Like. And that could be anything from walking outside, treadmill, elliptical machine, bike or a group exercise class. But whatever you do – be sure to Choose Some Good Music, A Good Workout Partner, Perform Your Cardio For A Minimum Of 20 Minutes To A Maximum Of 45 Minutes and Move At A Comfortable But Challenging Pace. 

Remember your goal is to become Fit and Fabulous. So, work with what you have and all happening right here.

– Meet Me In The Kitchen –

This year, when your social schedule fills up for the holidays, your waistline and hips doesn’t have to.

Meal

During the holiday season, you will attend holiday parties and several festive events – and they will all have food, good food. If we add a little stress with no time to cook or go to the gym. We have a recipe for holiday weight gain. Well, not this year! And Here’s why:

Sip – With alcohol, the goal is to keep both your calories and your buzz under control.
Walk around the room and meet people – Don’t plant yourself next to the buffet or snack table.  

Limit yourself – to the number of hors d’oeuvres you consume. Try to stick with your favorite 2 or 3 hors d’ oeuvres that you really like and pass on the fried fare.
And Pack Snacks – if you’re working late or before you hit the party enjoy your light snack. This will make other snacks easier to resist and you want arrive to the party hungry.

Beacon House is a non-profit, community based organization that provides tutoring, mentoring, cultural, athletic, recreational and nutritional programs to at-risk children, ages 5-18, who reside in and around the Edgewood Terrace community in Ward 5 of Washington, D.C. Our mission is to assist at-risk youth to identify and pursue educational objectives that culminate in college or vocational training, and, more generally, to prepare them for productive involvement in their community and society. Beacon House’s goal is to lift as many children as possible up and out of their often difficult circumstances.
