(Prince George’s County, MD) — Police and emergency crews are on the scene of a shooting in the area of Suitland Parkway at Silver Hill Road today. A shooter opened fire in the area and is still on the loose. One victim was reportedly taken to a nearby trauma center in critical condition and there may be another person injured. The parkway is closed between Suitland Road and Branch Avenue

DC AG Investigating Archdiocese

(Washington, DC) — Washington, DC Attorney General Karl Racine is launching an investigation into sexual abuse by Catholic clergy in the archdiocese of Washington. The civil investigation will look into whether the archdiocese broke the law by covering up allegations of sexual abuse of minors. Racine also announced a new portal for victims of clergy abuse in DC to report their abuse to his office. The investigation comes after archbishop Cardinal Donald Wuerl resigned this month after he was implicated in a Pennsylvania grand jury report that alleged he protected abusive priests.

Wizards Trim Trail Blazers In OT For First Win

(Portland, OR) — Markieff Morris scored nine of his 28 points in overtime as the Wizards trimmed the Trail Blazers 125-124 in Portland. Bradley Beal added 25 points as Washington got its first win in three tries. The Wizards continue their western road trip tomorrow at Golden State.
