1970s Rapper Arrested for Fatal Stabbing in New York

New York rapper The Kidd Creole was arrested for allegedly stabbing a homeless man. He has since been charged with second degree murder according to Essence.

According to the Associated Press, police say the 57 year old rapper stabbed the victim several times in the torso area. The incident reportedly took place Monday evening in Manhattan.

A spokesman from the NYPD said The Kidd Creole, whose real name is Nathaniel Glover, allegedly pulled out an unidentified object and stabbed the victim in the chest twice and then once more in the stomach. The victim was found on the sidewalk and pronounced dead at the hospital.

Glover, who made his name in the 70s alongside Grandmaster Flash, has reportedly confessed to the police.
