3 alarm fire damages several downtown Upper Marlboro businesses…

Four businesses and three apartments in downtown Upper Marlboro have been destroyed by fire. The fire broke out around 1:30 am along Main Street. Thankfully no one was hurt. It’s believed the fire started at Al’s Country Kitchen.

A local person has tested positive for the West Nile Virus…

A Prince George’s County resident is the first person this season to test positive for the West Nile Virus. Officials are not saying where the person lived in the county but they are being treated.

Officer name in yesterday’s fatal shooting to be released today…

Prince George’s County Police plan to release the name of the officer involved in yesterday’s deadly shooting of a suspect in Oxon Hill. The suspect who was armed was shot when police he was confronted by police and reportedly refused to put his weapon down.
