Voters head to the polls for the General Election…

Registered voters in Maryland and Virginia are exercising their right to vote during today’s General Election. The polls will remain open until 7 in Virginia and 8 pm in Maryland. In the Commonwealth control of the State Senate is at stake. In Alexandria former Mayor Bill Euille is running a write in campaign. In order for your right in vote to count officials say you must spell his last name correctly. In Maryland there are Mayoral races in Bowie, Laurel, College Park and Rockville. There are also a few county council seats on the ballot as well.

DC couples death suspicious…

Detectives in DC are still searching for clues in the discovery of a young couple found dead in a home near Capitol Hill yesterday. Officials are only saying their deaths are suspicious.

Metro’s search for a new GM continues after top choices decides he doesn’t want the job…

It’s back to the drawing board for Metro Board leaders looking to find a new General Manager. The boards selection, Neil Cohen has decided he no longer wants the job. No specific reason was given.
