NAACP demands the firing of Prince George’s County Superintendent…

The Prince George’s County chapter of the NAACP held a press conference this morning. The President Bob Ross said citizens no longer have confidence in Schools CEO & Superintendent Kevin Maxwell in the wake of a number of sexual abuse allegations involving teachers. They are demanding that County Executive Rushern Baker fire him immediately. The most recent case is a Duval H.S. languages teacher who has admitted to sending a text to a male to student asking him to have sex.

Parents at Glenridge Elementary say they are just learning of a lead water problem…

Parents with students at Glenridge Elementary School in Landover Hills are angry that they are just learning of lead in the drinking water. School officials were made aware of the contamination on Oct. 3rd & the water sources were cut off the next day. However some parents saying they are just learning of the water issue. School Officials plan to send letters home today. Students are now being provided with bottled water. It’s unclear when the problem will be resolved.

Death toll rises in North Carolina, Hurricane Matthew…

The death toll in NC has increased yet again. It’s now up to 19 and that could increase as more flooding is expected today through Saturday. The town of Lumberton was hardest hit. Some one thousand residents remain trapped in their homes.

New reports shows A.A. man shot by police in Tulsa, Ok had drugs in his system…

A report about the fatal police involved shooting of Terrence Crutcher in Tulsa, Oklahoma, shows he had PCP in his system. The victims wife calls it a distraction. Officer Betty Shelby will go on trail for his death.
