A father cutting down a tree kills his 2-year-old and injuries his 5-year-old…

Tragedy in Charles County. A 2-year-old is dead and his 5-year-old brother was seriously injured. They were watching their father cut down a tree in their backyard, when the falling tree changed directions and landed on them. The 2-year-old died at the hospital.

Sentencing day for Temple Hills homeowner who mistakenly shot two firefighters, killing one…

It’s sentencing day for Darryl Lumpkin. He’s the Temple Hill homeowner who mistakenly shot two firefighters that entered his home for a welfare check last year. One of the firefighters died. Lumpkin was not charged with murder but he was indicted and convicted on weapons charges. Today Lumpkin faces up to 15 years in prison for the weapons charge.

U.S. bombs ISIS target, 36 killed…

Three dozen terrorists are dead after the U.S. dumped a huge bomb on an ISIS position in eastern Afghanistan. An Afghan defense ministry spokesman says there were no civilian casualties, but the blast from the 20-thousand-pound so-called “mother of all bombs” destroyed three underground tunnels, weapons and ammunition. The MOAB is the largest non-nuclear bomb that the U.S. has ever used on the battlefield.
