Angela Alsobrooks is running to be the next Prince George’s County Executive. The current state’s attorney made the announcement this morning at her family’s home in Camp Springs. Alsobrooks has been the county’s highest prosecutor since 2010. The Democrat is looking to succeed Rushern Baker, who announced in June that he’s vying to unseat Larry Hogan as the next governor of Maryland in 2018.

More Charges Coming To Charles County School Assistant

More charges are coming to a Charles County school assistant who allegedly sexually assaulted children. Carlos Bell was arrested earlier this month on counts of child pornography and second-degree assault. NBC4 reports that an investigation by the Charles County Sheriff’s Department has discovered more victims. Authorities say Bell abused several boys at Stoddard Middle School, at his home, and potentially other locations.

Ravens Looking At Kaepernick

NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick could potentially have a new landing spot. Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti, who spoke at a fan forum at M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday, acknowledged the team is considering signing Kaepernick. He is an unrestricted free agent and hasn’t be added to a roster after controversy stirred up for kneeling during the national anthem last season. Baltimore is in need of a quarterback since Joe Flacco injured his back and is missing time. Flacco’s injury isn’t considered significant, but backup Ryan Mallett has been struggling in training camp working with the first-team offense.
