Bladensburg Police shoot an armed man…

A male suspect is listed in critical condition after being shot by police. The incident happened after Bladensburg Police received a call of an armed person at the Bladenswood Condominiums. The victim has not been identified. The police officer has been placed on administrative leave pending a full investigation.

DC Mayor talks tax reform and rats….

DC Mayor Muriel Bowser plans to take part in a joint regional 11 O’clock Tax Reform press conference today. Leaders are concerned about the effects of Houses tax reform program and how it will effect middle and poor families. At 3 the Mayor will take part in a rat walk-in Dupont Circle. Later Bowser will unveil the Districts new plans to decrease the rat population. It includes smart litter bids and solar trash cans.

Leggett set to sign $15 minimum wage into law today…

At Noon Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett will sign off on a bill to increase the minimum wage to $15 an hour by 2020. The current minimum wage is $11.50. The increase will be gradual giving smaller businesses more time to comply.
