Boy Scouts To Allow Girls To Join

The Boy Scouts of America will allow girls to join. The organization announced today that girls will soon be allowed to become Cub Scouts and a future separate program will allow then to become Eagle Scouts, the organization’s highest honor. For more than 100 years since its founding, the Boy Scouts has been primarily for boys.

Trump Rips NBC News In Tweets

President Trump is bashing NBC News over a report that he asked for a huge increase in U.S. nuclear weapons. Trump tweeted this morning the report is pure fiction and is intended to demean him. Trump also suggested challenging NBC’s license to broadcast. He said such reporting is bad for the country. According to NBC News, a summer meeting about nuclear weapons prompted Secretary of State Rex Tillerson to call the President a moron.

Farrow: Machine Kept Weinstein Accusations Quiet

The super charged sexual assault allegations against Harvey Weinstein continue to surface with three women alleging rape against the Hollywood mogul. Ronan Farrow investigated the sex allegations against Weinstein over ten months for “The New Yorker.” He said he found 13 women with claims against Weinstein, ranging from groping to rape. Farrow also uncovered an audio tape recorded by the NYPD of a model getting Weinstein to admit to forceful touching. Farrow says that Weinstein has been protected for two decades by a culture of fear and a public relations machine designed to keep allegations quiet.

Nationals Try To Stay Alive In NLDS

Game 4 of the NLDS was rained out last night, so the Nationals will face the Cubs this afternoon in a must-win game for Washington. Jake Arrieta will go to the mound for the Cubs, who look to punch a ticket to their third consecutive NLCS, while Nationals manager Dusty Baker said he will stay with scheduled starter Tanner Roark rather than switch to Stephen Strasburg for the pivotal game. Strasburg is reportedly sick with flu-like symptoms. First pitch is scheduled for 4:08 p.m.
