Crime walk set for today in DC…

Residents in the Truxton Circle area of the District have had enough of all the violence. Over the busy holiday weekend, 9 people were shot in two separate incidents and then some 20 shots were fired near the scene of one of the fatal shootings. No was hurt in that incident and police have arrested two in connection with that incident. No arrests have been made in the fatal shootings.

DC Mayor Bowser provides help for underserved businesses …

At Noon, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser will unveil the details of a new initiative entitled “Ascend 2020 DC”. The program will provide training and money for women, minority and or veteran own business in underserved communities. Today press conference will be held at Google DC, 25 Massachusetts Avenue, NW. Former NAACP leader wants to be Governor of Md…

Former NAACP Leader Benjamin Jealous is reportedly planning to get into politics. Sources say as early as tomorrow Jealous will formally announce his quest to run for Governor of Maryland. Jealous has no political experience has gained the support from progressive across the nation and country.
