DC Police rescue missing NC girl found Sunday in the city…
Police say an eleven-year-old girl who went missing after her grandparents were shot and killed in their North Carolina home has been found. Following a 911 call by someone in the car she was in police were able to locate her in downtown DC. After a short police chase and crash police rescued Arieyana Forney. Thirty-seven-year old Curtis Atkinson Jr. and a woman were detained. Authorities say Atkinson is the son of the two people that were found dead in their home. He has been charged with their murders, as well as kidnapping.

There are reports of multiple deaths in explosions on the subway system in the Russian city of St. Petersburg. Russian media, including the Tass News Agency, say explosions at two stations killed ten people and injured 30.

The full Senate could vote to confirm Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch by the end of the week. The Senate Judiciary Committee is expected to approve the nomination and send it to the full Senate today. Democrats are threatening a filibuster, but Republicans could avert that with a controversial change of rules.
