Anyone trying to make a payment will need a hard copy of the ticket and evidence for any hearings. There’s no word when the system will be back up and running.

City leaders are looking to prevent what happened on Sunday from every happening again. On Sunday DC’s 9-1-1 system when down for an hour and a half. We now know it was because of human error. Officials say a maintenance worker hit the emergency all stop button while trying to shut off a water leak alarm. Unacceptable says DC Mayor Bowser. Normally anywhere from 250 to 300 calls come in during that time. Only 40 calls made it through a back up system. Thankfully there’s no word of any serious incidents during that.
