Democrats walkout of Senate Committee vote on Kavanaugh…

Most Democrats have walked out of a Senate Judiciary Committee where leaders are set to vote on whether to move forward to Brett Kavanaugh Supreme Court nomination. Senator Richard Blumenthal made a motion to subpoena Mark Judge. When he was denied he walked out with his fellow Democrats.

Republicans need 51 votes and two to three lawmakers remain undecided at the start of the vote. If approved the full Senate could issue a final vote on Kavanaugh nomination next Tuesday. Overnight the American Bar Association that have Kavanaugh a high ranking called for a delay until a full FBI investigation is launched.

DC Principle placed on leave for the handling of a sexual assault claim…

Roosevelt High School Principle Aqueela James has been placed on administrative leave. The reason allegations of her mishandling a report of a sexual assault by a student in June of 2017.

The victim and her mother met with the principal to discuss the attack. During that meeting the mother recording the conversation, when the mother and victim left the room the Principle was heard on tape mocking the young female victim, saying she was tired of her. Principle James also is heard saying that she was planning to show the authorities pictures of the dress that she was wearing the night she was attacked as a way to “embarrass” her. The mother has filed a lawsuit against the city and the teacher for failing to adequately investigate the claims.
