District Teen In Serious Condition After Being Shot, Multiple Injured In Georgia Avenue Crash, Kavanaugh’s First Day On High Court

A District teenager is fighting for his life today after being shot in Southeast DC. Police say the 14-year-old was walking in the 32-hundred block of Stanton Road around 8:00 last night when he was shot multiple times. Police are searching for a suspect or suspects.

Car strikes seven on Georgia Avenue

Seven people were struck by a car on Georgia Avenue in Aspen Hill. One of the injured is listed in serious condition. The accident happened around seven this morning near the intersection of Wendy Lane and Georgia Avenue.

Kavanaugh  takes seat on Supreme Court

Today is Brett Kavanaugh’s first day on the Supreme Court. On day one he will hear case before the court. Following a ceremonial swearing-in at the White House for Kavanaugh last night, the President remarked, inaccurately, that Kavanaugh, accused of sexual assault during his confirmation hearing, was “proven innocent.”
