Double shooting in DC leaves one dead, killer still on the loose…

DC Police are looking for the suspect in an overnight shooting in the 5400 block of Georgia Avenue in NW. The two men found at different locations were shot multiple times. One died, the other suffered serious injuries and remains at the hospital. The gunman remains on the loose.

Prince George’s Co. School Board is holding a public meeting on the grade tampering audit…

Today at 1 O’clock the Prince George’s County School Board will hold a public meeting to discuss the findings of a state-issued audit into grade tampering claims. The meeting will be held at their headquarters. Now four board members who are concerned that most people will not be able to attend a meeting in the middle of the day plan to hold a 7 O’clock meeting for residents who can not make the earlier meeting.

The parents of murdered college student Ashanti Billie are preparing to head to Norfolk. Police have made an arrest in their daughter’s case. He is a 45-year-old homeless Navy Veteran named Eric Brown. DNA links him to her. Her body was found behind a church he attended as a child and just 300 miles from Brown’s childhood home which had just been foreclosed on. Billie who’s graduated from Charles Herbert Wise High Schools was in Norfolk, Virginia attending culinary school.
