Beloved breakfast chain, IHOP (International House of Pancakes) gained news coverage after announcing they were dropping the P from their name and changing it to IHOB. Social media users guessed what the “B” meant, but nobody was prepared for the International House of Burgers.

The publicity stunt is meant to attract consumers who view the restaurant as only as a breakfast place, Chief Marketing Officer Brad Haley told USA Today.

The name change is only temporary. In fact, most of the stores won’t even have the ‘IHOB’ signage. Besides one store location in Hollywood, a majority of the nearly 1,800 stores will keep the original name. The store announced they will be releasing a new temporary menu focusing largely on, you guessed it, burgers. Restaurant goers can relax- they will still serve all the breakfast foods we love. While it’s only a marketing tactic to roll out their new burger menu for the summer time, it’s seems to have caused quite a fuss in the restaurant twitter circle.

Not only here, but some celebrities chimed in on the marketing move. Chrissy Teigen tweeted, “ihob is the guy who gets a face tattoo of the girl’s name after 1 date.”
