The high courts take up the issue of a MD woman who was fired because she was pregnant

The U.S. Supreme Court is set to discuss the issue of a Maryland woman who says she was fired once she became pregnant. Peggy Young who was a UPS driver in Landover says she asked her supervisor for a desk job or a lighter shift during her pregnancy, instead she claims they denied her request and forced her to take unpaid leave. A violations says Young of the Pregnancy Act of 1978.

Michael Browns stepfather faces possible criminal charges

Ferguson, Missouri police are looking at possibly charging Michael Brown’s stepfather with inciting riots after the grand jury’s decision not to indict. Louis Head is heard on video yelling “burn this {expletive} down”. Several buildings were burned to the ground that night.

First Latina’s to serve on the Prince George’s County School Board are sworn in

For the first time in Prince George’s County School Board history, two Latina’s have been elected to serve. They are Lupi Grady and Dinora Hernandez.

The hunt is on for two teens who used a weapon to carjack and kidnapp a driver

DC police are searching for two teens who carjacked a vehicle and forced the driver into the trunk at gunpoint. It happened on Tuesday around 4:15 pm near Decatur Street and Georgia Avenue in NW. The victim was able to escape from the trunk a short time later after the teens crashed the car.
