DC Police investigate four separate shootings in S.E. last night…

It was a violent night in S.E. DC last night, four shootings in a two hour period. The latest victim was a woman who was found around 9:45 near Alabama Avenue and Good Hope Road. She later died of her injuries. She has not been identified.

Prince George’s County Council votes today on a controversial 2016 Fiscal Budget…

The Prince George’s County Council is preparing to vote this morning on a 2016 Budget proposal by County Executive Rushern Baker. Yesterday, Baker announced a big change in his request for a 15% property tax increase for betters schools. Instead of the $133 (M) dollars he now says he can work with $65 (M) dollars for new public school funding.

DC City Council approves most of Mayor Bowser’s 2016 Budget proposal…

In the District, city leaders have given preliminary approval to Mayor Bowser’s $13 (B) Dollar 2016 Fiscal Budget plan. Leader did however, say “No” to her proposal to increase the sales tax, increase parking garage fee’s and additional funds to extend the Summer Youth Jobs program to 24 year olds.
