Convicted rapist is on the loose in Prince George’s County…

A convicted sex offender remains on the loose this morning in Prince George’s County. Police say state hospital patient James Norris Jr. was last seen around 8 last night in Landover Hills. He simply walked away from a court approved home visit.

DC Police begin “All hands on Deck”…

DC’s “all hands on deck” police initiative resumes this afternoon at 3. It will run until 6pm on Sunday afternoon. All available officers will be on foot, bike or in cruisers throughout the city, in the hopes of curbing some of the violence in recent weeks.

It’s the 52 Anniversary of Dr. Kings “I have a Dream Speech” …

Today marks the 52nd Anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s “I Have a Dream Speech” on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. Later today 27 immigrants will be sworn in as U.S. citizens at the King Memorial on the National Mall.

Hurricane Katrina is remember 10 years later…

Saturday marks the 10th Anniversary of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. President Obama made a stop and visited the Lower 9th Ward yesterday, today former President George W. Bush will visit the area and on Saturday Former President Bill Clinton will speak on the actual anniversary.
