The President & First Lady mark the 14th Anniversary of 9-11 with a national moment of silence…

At 8:46 this morning a national moment of silence was lead by President Obama and the first lady to mark the 14th Anniversary of the 9-11 attacks. That time represents the exact time the first plane hit the World Trade Center’s North Tower. Now, here in DC at 9:30 there will be a Remembrance Ceremony followed by a public 2pm ceremony for Pentagon employee’s. At 10:30 DC Mayor Muriel Bowser will join Council Member Mary Cheh as they recognize first responder’s at Engine Company 16 in N.W. that ran to help the victims at the Pentagon. 2,977 people in N.Y., DC & Pennsylvania were killed.

Former MD Delegate James Proctor, Jr. passes away…

Long time former Maryland Delegate James Proctor Jr. has passed away. The 79 year old served Prince George’s & parts of Charles Counties for more than 20 years.

N.Y. Mayor and Police Commissioner apologize to James Blake for violent mistaken identity arrest…

Former Tennis Star James Blake has accepted an apology from both the Mayor of N.Y. and the Police Commissioner after being slammed to the ground and arrested in a case they call “Mistake Identity”. The matter is still under investigation. The officer involved has been placed on desk duty and stripped of his gun and badge.

For a time, Taylor even spoke with a British accent. Well now she resides in the DC area and for the past three years has worked as the news anchor for The Steve Harvey Morning Show on WHUR. Recently, Taylor has adopted the Washington Redskins as her most loved pro sports team.
