 New report shows only 25% of DC H.S. students are ready for college…

Only 25% of High School Students in DC are “Ready for College”. The “Washington Post” is reporting 25% of students in the District met college proficiency standards in English and only 10% in Geometry. The disparities were greater when race was factored in. DC Schools Chancellor Kaya Henderson says they will keep plugging along to eventually improve the numbers.

Three DC Officers placed on leave following violent arrest in N.E. caught on tape…

The Three DC Police Officers involved a violent arrest of a suspect believed to be high on PCP, have been ordered to hand over their badges. The incident that was caught on cell phone video went viral after the incident on Cloud Street in N.E. on Monday. Cheif Lanier is urging residents not to rush to judgement.

S.C. Deputy will learn today if he will loose his job over video of him slamming a 16 year old A.A. girl in school to the ground…

A disturbing video that appeared to show a Columbia S.C. Police Officer slamming a 16 year old African American girl to the ground and then throwing her across the room has prompted not only the FBI but the U.S. Justice Department to launch a civil rights investigation. The Sheriff Leon Lott said he did not like what he saw on the video. Lott will decide today if the Deputy who was working at the High School as a resource officer, if he will be terminated.
