Hurricane Joquin threatens Eastern Coast…

A powerful storm is over the Bahamas. Hurricane Joquin is a Category 3, with 120 mph winds. It could start impacting our area on Sunday. Virginia’s Governor has already issued a State of an Emergency.

Joquin could affect Sunday’s weekend NFL match-up…

Hurricane Joquin is also threatening this Sunday Washington Philadelphia match up here at Fedex Field. The game could be postponed or relocated. In addition area homecoming activities could also be affected. Keep in out WHUR for the latest.

No arrest in double fatal shooting in Capitol Heights…

No arrests have been made in a double fatal shooting last night in Capitol Heights. The shootings happened at the same apartment complex where a security guard was shot and killed this summer.

Thousands of kids are barred from school in Prince George’s County…

Thousands of Prince George’s County students are still at home this morning. Health Officials say 23 hundred have not been immunized. They can not return to school until they can prove the have had their shots.
