A sexual predator is on the loose in Arlington, woman advised not to walk alone…

Nine sexually assaults in the Arlington, Virginia area since July has residents and police on heightened alert. The most recent victim, a 23 year old who was attacked on North Scott Street on Saturday. Police do not think all the cases are connected.

The DC City Council votes on a plan to deal with an ambulance shortage…

DC leaders will vote today on a plan to hire a private ambulance company to cover non emergency calls, to help with the ambulance shortage. If the Mayor’s proposal is approved it would only be in place for one year.

DC could boast the best family leave plan in the nation…

District leaders will also hear about a plan to provide almost all part time and full time workers with 16 weeks of paid family leave. The plan calls for the money for the program to come from employers. Company’s would be assessed a new tax for each partime and full time worker based on their pay.

Death toll in S.C. is up as the water recedes…

The water is receding in South Carolina— but it’s still and dangerous situation there. Thirteen people are dead. 550 bridges and roads are washed out and 40,000 residents are without clean water.

Wizards host preseason opener…

The Washington Wizards host their pre season opener tonight at 7 against the Philadelphia 76ers.
