School snow make-up days announced…

We knew it was coming — many area school districts have used up all of their set aside snow days and now they make to make them up. We have learned that DC leaders have decided to add one day to the end of the year. Alexandria will turn two teacher work days to class time, Montgomery County will add two days to the school calendar and Prince George’s County has to add two days but they will not decide on how they will do that until after the winter season.

DC Fire Chief put on the hot seat about agency…

At 10 this morning DC Fire Chief Gregory Dean will be placed on the hot seat with the City Council. They want Fire Chief Dean to explain the resignation of the Medical Director after 7 months on the job and to assure the city that reform efforts are moving forward as planned.

Former Prince Georges’ Co. School Board Member on trial for stealing lunch money, meant for low income children…

A former P.G. Co. School Board Member is set to go on trial today for taking free school lunches for her child under false pretense. Lynette Mundey is accused of stealing more than $13-hundred dollars in free lunches that should have gone to children in need.

Contract talks continue with QB Kirk Cousins…

Contract talks are not off with Kirk Cousins and Management with The Burgundy and Gold. However sources say the two sides are far apart on a deal. Washington has until March 1 to tag him as their franchise player.
