Major commute headaches following metro rails closure…

Pack your patience –it is slow going on the roads all across the DMV as a result of Metro rail suspending service today. We are even getting reports of over crowding on Metro buses. Officials will spend the next 20 hours checking the safety of some 600 power cables –that sparked a fatal fire & smoke incident last year and caused smoke in a tunnel this Monday. General Manger Paul Weidefeld said he had to air on the side of caution. It is free by the way to park at metro lots.

Bond set for two brothers in District 2 shootings…

A bond hearing is set this afternoon in Prince George’s County for the two brothers involved with Sunday police shootout in Palmer Park. Malik and Elijah Ford are due in court later today.

Funeral arrangements for Officer Ja cai Colson killed by friendly fire during that shooting has been set for 9am on Friday, March 25th at First Baptist Church of Glenarden.
