Police find 2 of three people reported missing over the weekend …

DC Police have found a missing grandmother and her toddler granddaughter. Police say 55 year old Sherri Macklin and 4 year old Tatum Dixon are home safe and unharmed. The search continues however, for 12 year old Aniya Pettus who was reported missing Sunday morning. She was last seen on 3rd Place.

Wrong way driver kills one person on inner loop of the beltway …

One person was killed this morning when a driver going the wrong way slammed into another vehicle on the inner loop of the beltway near Eisenhower Avenue. It’s unclear which driver was killed.

CSX train derailment clean up continues, no one hurt…

The Federal Railroad Administration is investigating the cause of yesterday’s CSX train derailment near the Rhode Island Avenue Metro Station. Clean-up efforts continue. Thankfully no one was hurt. DC Mayor Bowser says air quality tests show no danger to residents, however they too are looking for answers. No one had to be evacuated from their homes.
