A “Winter Weather Advisory” is issued for our listening area

The entire WHUR listening area will be under a “Winter Weather Advisory” until 6 tonight. Those to the North and West will get 1 to 3 inches of snow. The District could get anything from a dusting to a snow and rain mixture after 10 this morning. South of the District will likely just get rain.

President Obama pushes his proposal as he hits the road today

President Obama heads to Boise, Idaho today and Kansas tomorrow to continue taking about the proposals he outlined in last night’s “State of The Union Address”. Among other things he wants paid sick leave, tax cuts for the middle class and free community college.

Christopher Barry due to turn himself into police

Christopher Barry Ward 8 City Council Candidate and the son of the late DC Mayor Marion Barry is due to turn himself into police today. Barry is facing misdemeanor charges stemming from a confrontation at a PNC Bank in NW last week after he was told he had insufficient funds in his account. Barry is accused of threatening the teller and throwing a trash can inside the bank

For a time, Taylor even spoke with a British accent. Well now she resides in the DC area and for the past three years has worked as the news anchor for The Steve Harvey Morning Show on WHUR. Recently, Taylor has adopted the Washington Redskins as her most loved pro sports team.
