DC Mayor Bowser hosts a watch party tonight for Hillary Clinton…

Hillary Clinton is not officially the Democratic Presidential Nominee but she is the first woman to obtain the needed delegates to become a Presidential candidate by a major political party in the U.S.. California and five other states hold primaries today. Source say President Obama could endorse her later this week. Bernie Sanders is not conceding but sources say he will rethink his campaign after tonight’s results. For the GOP there’s reports of infighting as Donald Trump is expected to be named the party’s presidential nominee. Tonight at 7 DC Mayor Muriel Bowser will hold a public Clinton watch party at Sign of the Whale on M Street on N.W..

DC City Council votes on minimum wage increase…

Minimum wage in DC could be on the way up to $15 an hour by 2020. The City Council could hold a final vote on the proposal today. The bill would also increase tipped workers hourly rate to $5.50.

New Dept. of Education show minorities are punished more than white students…

A new report out by the U.S. Dept. of Education shows African American students are four times more likely to be suspended from school compared to white students. The study involved kids from kindergarten to High School. The study also found that children of color who English is not their first language and those with disabilities are “Not getting the same opportunities to learn” as other students.

For a time, Taylor even spoke with a British accent. Well now she resides in the DC area and for the past three years has worked as the news anchor for The Steve Harvey Morning Show on WHUR. Recently, Taylor has adopted the Washington Redskins as her most loved pro sports team.
