DC Police shoot and kill a suspect with a BB gun last night…

The person shot last night by Police on Varnum Street in N.E. has died . Officials say the unidentified man had a gun & did not respond to police orders. The gun turned out to be a BB gun.

Police release new images of suspect in triple shooting in District Heights…

Investigators in Prince George’s County need your help in identifying the person who shot 5 people last Friday in a home on Orleans Avenue in District Heights. Three people were killed. New surveillance video and still images of the suspect have been released. There is also a $25K reward being offered in this case.

Former DC Delegate Walter Fauntroy is due in court….

Former DC Delegate Walter Fauntroy has agreed to appear in a Leesburg, Va courtroom this morning. The 83 year old who was arrested yesterday reentering the county, is wanted in Prince George County for writing a $50K dollar bad check for a 2009 Obama Inauguration event that did not take place. Reportedly Fauntroy will be released to his family and answer to the charges in court in Prince George’s County next month.

Metro prepares for Surge 3 & 4…

Metro’s Surge 3 & 4 “Safe track Plan” is set for July 5th. Leaders plan to hold a press conference later today to make the public aware of the closure between Braddock Road and National Airport. Speaking of Metro don’t forget you have until the end of this month to transfer the money on your paper fare cards to a smartrip card or you will loose that money. After the 30th they will no longer be valid.
