Water problems close two DC Schools this morning

DC Public School Officials have decided to close two schools today because of problems with water at thief facilities. The schools are McKinley Tech High School and Langley Elementary School. We will let you know if classes will resume tomorrow.

Another Weather Alert is issued for our area today

The National Weather Service has issued a “Winter Weather Advisory” for area’s NW of DC from 1pm to 8pm. Residents in the affected area should expect snow or snow/sleet mixture, nothing substantial.

The Presidents choice for Attorney General returns to the hot seat today

A second day of confirmation hearings resumes this morning for Attorney General nominee Loretta Lynch. Wednesday she told the Republican controlled Senate Judiciary Committee that as head of the Justice Department counter terrorism will be the departments major focus. The top notch New York Prosecutor is expected to be confirmed. If Lynch is confirmed she will become the first African American female U.S. Attorney General.

An overload outlet and a dried out Christmas tree are the cause of a massive fire in Annapolis that killed 6

A malfunctioning outlet and a dried out Christmas Tree are the cause of this months massive fire at a waterfront mansion in Annapolis, that killed two adults and their four grandchildren. Anne Arundel County fire officials say the outlet was powering 15,000 lights on a 65 day old 15 foot Christmas Tree in the home when the fire quickly spread throughout the house. The victims who were reportedly found in their bedrooms, had not time to escape.
