Hold onto your hats! A “Wind Advisory” kicks in at Noon

A “Windy Advisory” will go in to effect for the entire WHUR listening area today from Noon until midnight. We could see wind gust up to 50MPH. Look for possible power outages.

The Glover family is holding an 11:30 press conference about their lawsuit against Metro

The family of Carol Glover has hired the same law firm that handled the deadly 2009 Red line Metro crash. Glover is the mother of two who was killed when a yellow line metro train filled with smoke on January 12th at L’Enfant Plaza. Lawyers for the family will file the suit today. The family is reportedly suing for $10 Million dollars.

Registration for DC’s Summer Youth Job’s Program starts today

At Noon, if you live in DC and your between the ages of 14 and 21 and your looking for real world working experience you can apply for the late Marion Barry’s Summer Youth Employment Program. Mayor Muriel Bowser will lead this mornings event. Staff will be on hand at the Department of Employment Services to help those in need complete the application.

Suge Knight turns himself in, following a deadly hit and run

Rap Music Mogul Suge Knight has been placed on a $3 Million dollar bond, this following him turning himself into Compton, California police overnight. Knight is accused of intentionally running over two men in a fast food parking lot following an argument on a movie set with the men, one of which died.

For a time, Taylor even spoke with a British accent. Well now she resides in the DC area and for the past three years has worked as the news anchor for The Steve Harvey Morning Show on WHUR. Recently, Taylor has adopted the Washington Redskins as her most loved pro sports team.
