Frederick High School reopens, shooters remain on the loose

Classes resumed this morning at Frederick High School and West Frederick Middle School. The gunmen in this weeks shooting remain at large and police are actively working the case which may be gang related. The two victims, a 14 and 15 year old could be released from the hospital today.

DC school teacher charges with sexually assaulting a child

A DC school teacher has been charged with the unthinkable. 33 year old Leroy Ware faces child sexual assault charges. Ware is a teacher at Minor Elementary in Northwest. It’s unclear if the victim attended the school.

Howard University Dental College host Free kids dental services

It’s “Give kids a smile Day” and Howard University’s School of Dentistry and The American Dental Association have teamed up to service some 325 kids today. The event starts at 8:30 at the College of Dentistry on “W” Street in Northwest.

An Emergency Town meeting on the devaluing of Black homes in Prince George’s County

Tomorrow an emergency town hall meeting has been called to discuss the devaluing of homes in Prince George’s County. The People for Change Coalition are calling on homeowners to demand fair value. Some of the topics that will be discussed include: Has redistricting affected our home value, how to hold banks accountable and how are Real Estate Brokers involved to name a few. The public event is set for Saturday at 9am at the Martin Luther King Jr. Library in Bowie.
