Winter Weather Advisory ends a 9 …

The “Winter Weather Advisory” for residents in Prince George’s, Charles, St. Mary’s, Anne Arundel and Calvert Counties ended at 9 this morning. We are expecting for a cold and partly sunny afternoon with highs in the low 40’s.

Icy roads prompted school closures and delays …

The icy conditions this morning has prompted schools leaders in Anne Arundel County to cancel classes today. On a 2 hour delay this morning are public schools in Prince George’s, St. Mary’s, Frederick County in Maryland, Howard and Prince William counties.

Police call a press conference to make a major announcement in the Hannah Graham case…

Albemarle County police plan to make a major announcement at 11 this morning regarding the Hannah Graham case. Sources close say they will formally announce murder charges against the man charged with abducting the 18 year old UVA Student last year. Jessie Matthew is already in police custody for a sexual assault of a woman in Fairfax.

Montgomery County School leaders vote on school start times..

Today the Montgomery County School Board will hold a final vote on a proposal to start middle and high schools later. If the proposal is approved the later start times could begin as early as the fall semester.
