The metro digs out…

Transportation Officials in The District, Maryland and Virginia are still asking for motorist to stay off the roads until they can finish treating and plowing them. We are not expecting any more snow but we can expect the snow to stay where it is, because of the below freezing temperatures that will remain this afternoon. Tonight we will drop to a low of 14.

The Snow shuts down most offices, business and schools

The Metropolitan area received between 4 and 5 inches of snow over night. Crews are working around the clock to clear the roads. The Federal Government was closed this morning along with all major school systems within our WHUR listening area.

A Texas judge stops President Obama’s executive order on immigration reform

Texas Judge Andrew Hanen has overruled President Barack Obama’s executive order on immigration reform. The injunction blocks the President’s plan that would have allowed millions of illegal immigrants to begin this week to apply for work or extended stays. The Justice Department is expected to appeal the decision.
