Today is set to be the coldest day in 119 years locally…

Our “Wind Chill Advisory” will continue until Noon today. It will feel like -5 to -14 degree’s below. Please check on your pets and the elderly. It’s been 119 years since the District hit the 7 degree mark. Dress in layers.

School officials close and delay the start for thousands of kids this morning…

We have several school systems opening up 2 hours late this morning, they are Prince George’s, Montgomery, Charles, St. Mary’s, Anne Arundel, Arlington, Alexandria and Frederick counties in Maryland and Virginia.

It’s judgement for former Virginia First Lady Maureen McDonnell…

It’s sentencing day for Maureen McDonnell on corruption charges. Federal guidelines show she could get 5 to 8 years in prison. The prosecution is asking for a year and a half, her defense is hoping for 4 thousand hours of community service. The judge that sentenced her husband Bob McDonnell to two year’s last month will deliver her fate today.
