Several school systems opt to delay the start of classes today

Icy conditions on the roads this morning prompted several school district to air on the side of caution and delay the start of classes this morning. The following schools have a 2 hour delay this morning, Prince George’s, Montgomery, Fairfax, Anne Arundel, Loudoun, Frederick County Md, Fauquier and Prince William counties. On a one hour delay are public schools in Frederick County, Va.

DC police look for two suspects in an early morning murder in N.E.

Homicide detectives in the District are searching for two suspects wanted in connection to an early morning murder. The body of a man was found in the 25-hundred block of 14 Street. The victim has not been identified.

Thousands of DHS employee’s to be furloughed this Friday… if Congress doesn’t act

Thrity-Thousand Department of Homeland Security personnel face being laid off this Friday, if Congress fails to approve a budget. The sticking point an amendment by the Republicans that would reverse President Barack Obama’s executive order on immigration, which Democrats are refusing to sign off on.
