Congress scrambles to decide on a funding bill for DHS…

GOP leaders seemed divided over how to get pass a DHS budget impasse. Congress has until Friday at midnight to reach an agreement or a partial shutdown will go into place. Thirty thousand employee’s will be furloughed and another tho hundred thousand employee’s will have to work without pay. The White House is reminding Congress of the danger it will put the country in, if an agreement is not reached by Friday.

Ohio man accused of plotting to blow up the U.S. Capitol is due in court…

The Ohio man arrested for planning to set off pipe bombs at the U.S. Capitol and then open fire as people run out, has a pre trial hearing this morning in Cincinnati. 22 year old Christopher Cornell’s trial is set to begin on Monday.

Prince George’s County District Court House remains closed to water problems…

The Prince George’s County District Court House is closed for a fourth day today because of water pipes that have busted due to the cold temperatures. Additional pipe ruptured Monday causing more problems for the court houses. Officials are working on the repairs and protecting and retrieving documents and computers.
