Prince George’s County District Courthouse reopens ….

The Prince George’s County District Courthouse reopens today after being closed for days because of broken water pipes due to the cold. The court house will resume its regular hours starting this morning.

The nation mourns the lost of the country’s first A.A. Senator …

A 11 a.m. service is planned this morning at National Cathedral for the nations first African American Senator. Former Senator Edward Brooke died in January of natural causes at his home in Florida. Brooke who is from this area was 95 years old and a graduate of Howard University.

All eye’s are on Rep. Donna Edwards, as she prepares to make a big announcement…

We are awaiting word from U.S. Representative Donna Edwards, regarding a Senate run. The “Washington Post” is reporting that Edwards will make an official announcement that she will seek the seat of retiring Senator Barbara Mikulski.

Growing up in a military family, Taylor Thomas lived overseas until she was 16 years old. She called places such as Great Britain and the Philippines home. For a time, Taylor even spoke with a British accent. Well now she resides in the DC area and for the past three years has worked as the news anchor for The Steve Harvey Morning Show on WHUR. Recently, Taylor has adopted the Washington Redskins as her most loved pro sports team.
