11 presumed dead following the crash of a military helicopter in Florida…

NBC News is reporting that all 11 passengers on board a Army Helicopter are presumed dead. 7 were Marines and 4 were soldiers taking part in a nighttime exercise in a report section of the Pensacola Panhandle.

The “Washington Post” is reporting that Former Prince George’s County State’s Attorney Glenn Ivey could announce as early as today that he will see the District 4 Congressional Seat of Donna Edwards. Yesterday, Edwards announced that she was going to run for the Senate.

DC Mayor announces a major tech partnership with Howard University…

DC Mayor Muriel Bowser is set to hold a 1pm press conference at Howard University’s Founder’s Library today to announce a Tech partnership. Mayor Bowser and Howard University President Wayne A.I. Frederick will work together to help grow the city’s tech and innovation ecosystem.

The DC’s Summer Youth Jobs Program registration date has been extended…

The District has decided to extended the City’s Summer Youth Jobs Program by three days. Officials say it’s due to several bad weather days last month and a mix up with the original deadline date. The 6 week paid program applies to DC residents ages 14 to 21 years old.
