Census Bureau Guard killed is identified…

The Census Bureau Security Guard shot and killed yesterday after walking up to a vehicle with a man and woman arguing inside of it has been identified as 59 year old Lawrence Buckner. The gunman and accused kidnapper then fled and led police on a high speed chase from Maryland to DC. It ended with a shoot out with police at “H” and 11th Streets in N.E.. The suspect was injured and is currently at an area hospital under guard.

Funeral Services have been made for Walter Scott in North Charleston…

Funeral services for 50 year old Walter Scott shot and killed by a North Charleston Police Officer following a traffic stop is set for tomorrow. The former officer’s mother has issued and apology to the family but says she will stand by her son. Her son Michael Slager who faces murder charges has yet to enter a plea. Seven other officers who responded to the scene are also under investigation for thief actions at the scene.

Prince George’s County Liquor stores will soon be able to sell liquor on Sunday…

Prince George’s County liquor stores will soon be able to compete for licenses to sell liquor on Sunday. Lawmakers approved a bill that would allow that to become a reality. The measure now heads to the Governor for his final approval.
