Death toll increases to 6 in the Amtrak accident, the search continues for those unaccounted for…

Recovery efforts continue at the site of last night’s Amtrak train derailment in North Philadelphia. Several people remain unaccounted for. 6 are confirmed dead, 6 are listed in critical condition and another 140 passengers were taken to area hospital. NTSB Officials will start the process of looking into what caused Amtrak train 188 to derail last night in route to New York from Union Station in Washington, DC.
Amtrak has set up a toll free number of information on passengers, the number is 1-800–523-9101.

Quintuple shooting in Prince George’s County has a fatal ending…

Investigators in Prince George’s County are looking into the shooting of 5 men last night in Capitol Heights. One person has died. There’s no motive in the case. The incident happened on Pard Road. The victims have not been identified.

UDC announces their new President…

The University of The District of Columbia has a new President. Yesterday they named Ronald Mason Jr to the post. Mason comes to the District from Southern University, where he served as their President.
