DC Police identify another teen as a person of interest in a Shaw neighborhood murder…

DC Police are asking for the public’s help in solving another homicide in the city. Investigators have identified 19 year old Andre Dudley as a 2nd person of interest in connection with the shooting death of a American University student in the Shaw Neighborhood last month. Another teen turned himself into police last month after his name and picture were made public.

DC Police host another community meeting about crime in the city…

In response to public outcry over the 40% jump in homicides this year and violent crimes, the First District Police Station on M Street in S.W. will be the site for tonight’s 7 to 8 pm community meeting on crime in the city. There will be a Q & A period along with information on what police are doing to make the city safer.

Baltimore leaders brace for a possible unrest tomorrow for the start of hearings into Freddie Gray’s death…

Now Further up the beltway — the Mayor of Baltimore, City leaders and police are preparing for tomorrow’s scheduled first hearing into the Freddie Gray murder by 6 officers. Activists say they are planning to peacefully protest to make sure the charges are not dropped against the officers and that the venue is not changed. Additional police coverage will be visible throughout the city and around the court house tomorrow.
