NTSB says Amtrak train engineer was not on his phone during last months crash…

The NTSB says the engineer that was behind the control of the Amtrak train that derailed in Philadelphia last month, was not using his cell phone at the time of the crash. In fact, their report indicates that Brandon Bostian did not even access the train’s Wi-Fi while on the job. Eight people died in that crash and over 200 were injured.

Prosecution ends its case the the Jesse Matthew rape & attempted murder trial…

The prosecution has ended its case in the rape and attempted murder trial of Jesse Matthew. Matthew who is connected to the rape and murders of two other woman, is on trial in Fairfax, Virginia for a 2005 attack on a 26 year woman there.

Voters choose a new Mayor for the city of Alexandria…

The voters have spoken and they have selected a new Mayor for the city of Alexandria. Allison Silberberg defeated incumbent Mayor Bill Euille by about 300 votes. Euille was seeking a 5th term in office.
