Police make an arrest in shooting death of a 3 year old in S.E….

An arrest has been made in the shooting death of 3 year old Dalis Cox. DC police have charged a 17 year old male in connection with the crime last month in an apartment on 46th Place in S.E..

U.S. Flag raised at Embassy in Cuba…

A ceremonial raising of the American flag over the U.S. Embassy in Havana, Cuba took place earlier this morning. Secretary of State John Kerry is their for this historic dedication. Despite renewed diplomatic relations with Cuba — trade
and travel restrictions remain in effect.

Prince George’s County Leaders make so major financial decision for the county…

Despite massive budget cuts, leaders have given approval to give an additional $20 million dollars to help Metro with the completion of the purple line. That brings the county’s total financial commitment to $120 million dollars. Prince George’s County
leaders have also succumb to public pressure and they say they will staff the new Ft. Washington District 7 Police Station with 6 officers when it opens in the
fall, an additional 30 officers will be added in January.
