DC Police ask for public’s help in solving weekend shooting in the Shaw neighborhood…

Police in DC are asking for the publics help in identifying those involved in the weekend shooting death of a 24 year old American University graduate killed in the Shaw Neighborhood. A surveillance video of 6 persons of interest has been released. The neighborhood has seen a big jump in violent crime. The homicide rate to date is 94 an 30% increase from this time last year.

A former Fairfax Police Officer is sitting in jail on murder charges…

A former Fairfax County Police Officer is sitting in jail without bond this hour. 32 year old Adam Torres was indicted yesterday of murder by a grand jury. He turned himself into police on Monday and he’s due to be arraigned later this week. Torres is charged with responding to a domestic call and shooting a man who was standing in his door way of his home in Springfield last year with his hands up.

New video shows tense confrontation between Hillary Clinton and Black Lives Matter Activist…

There new video out this morning showing Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in a tense exchange of words with a Black Lives Matter activist over racial issues. Clinton clashed with Black Lives Matter activist Julius Jones after he accused her of “victim blaming.” The tense exchange took place last week during a closed door session in New Hampshire.

Free Metrorail rides for DC students…

DC school children will have another way to get to school, free of charge. DC Schools Chancellor Kia Henderson has announced that students can now use metrorail to get to and from school. Mayor Bowser says this is a $7 million dollar expansion of the city’s already free metrobus rides program. Metro says additional security staff will be on hand daily to assist students.
