Metro restores service at Metro Center

Service has been restored to the Orange, Blue and Silver lines after a massive water main break this morning at Metro Center. For those who found out too late to use an alternate form of transportation, it was a frustrating morning to say the least. Many commuters complained of the lack  of shuttle buses as about the long lines.

Over 100 school kids killed in Pakistan

The stand off between Taliban fighters dressed in military attire that opened fire inside of a school in Pakistan is over. Pakistani soldiers fought for hours to force them to retreat and not take any more young lives. At least 130 people, mainly children are dead. President Obama has condemned the act calling it a “heinous attack”.

The search for a killer ex marine expands in the Philadelphia area

The search for a former Marine and Iraqi Vet is expanding into two
suburban Philadelphia counties. Bradely Stone is wanted for the
shooting deaths of his ex wife, her mother, grandmother, sister and her brother in-law.

Jeb Bush announces on social media a possible run for White House

Jeb Bush — the former Florida Governor has announced on Facebook and twitter this afternoon that he is —looking at a possible run for the White House. He said he will also create a leadership PAC to start the process of a Presidential run.

DC Delegation pitches to host 2024 Summer Olympics

Later today DC Mayor Elect Muriel Bowser will go before the U.S. Olympic Committee in California and pitch why DC should be selected to host the 20-24 Summer Olympics. Bowser is being joined by Ted Leonsis, Former NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue amd Olympic Swimming Champion Katie Ledecky.

The Washington Wizards host the Trailblazers tonight. Tip off is a 7.

Growing up in a military family, Taylor Thomas lived overseas until she was 16 years old. She called places such as Great Britain and the Philippines home. For a time, Taylor even spoke with a British accent. Well now she resides in the DC area and for the past three years has worked as the news anchor for The Steve Harvey Morning Show on WHUR. Recently, Taylor has adopted the Washington Redskins as her most loved pro sports team.
