Former Congressman Louis Stokes will be laid to rest today…

In Cleveland this hour, funeral services are being held for Former Congressman Louis Stokes. He died last week at the age of 90 from lung and brain cancer. VP Joe Biden is in attendance.

Thousands in Prince George’s, Anne Arundel and Calvert return to school…

It was the first day of classes for students in Prince George’s, Anne Arundel and Calvert Counties. Superintendent Dr. Kevin Maxwell who made a few stops this morning said 2,000 new students has enrolled this year. A water main break near Thomas Stone Elementary delayed the start of classes for students there. WSSC crews are working on the repairs.

A Ferguson judge orders all arrest warrants to be thrown out….

In Ferguson, Missouri a judge there has ordered all arrest warrants issued before January of this year be thrown out. The decision comes months after a Department of Justice report found police in Ferguson and the courts targeted African Americans for searches, arrests and fines.
