The shooting of a teen in Loudoun Co. has 1 school on “Lock down”…

One school in Loudoun county is on “Lockdown” and five other are on “Lock Out” mode at present, this as police are investigating the shooting of a teen in Sterling. Police are looking for as many as 3 teens in connection to shooting at East Beech Road and North College Drive. It’s near Parkview High School and the decision made to place the school on lock down is precautionary.

A infant dies after calling 911, DC Officials looking for answers in ambulance delay…

A full investigation in underway in the death of a 5 month old baby boy who died after his care giver called 911 for help. DC Fire & EMS Officials are vowing to get to the bottom of the delay issue with its ambulances. The family was told the nearest ambulance was 7 miles away. A fire truck responded in 4 minutes and began driving the infant to Children’s National Medical Center, during that time the ambulance met up with them, some 15 minutes after the initial call. The infant was pronounced dead at the hospital.

It’s the start of the long Labor Day Weekend…

Today kicks off the Beginning of the long Labor day weekend and AAA Mid Atlantic is predicting 850-thousand residents will be on the road traveling 50 miles or more from home. Look for heavy traffic this afternoon on 50, the Bay Bridge and I-95 South.

No meeting tonight in Prince George’s County regarding District 7 Police Department…

We have a correction to a story reported earlier this morning regarding a meeting tonight at Potomac Landing Elementary School. There will not be a public meeting tonight about the new District 7 Police Station. Keep in right her on WHUR and we will keep you posted on future meetings.
