Metro Transit Officials are reporting that the Stadium Armory Metro Station is closed due to smoke from a transformer fire near the grounds of the metro station. The closure is affecting the Orange, Blue and Silver lines.

DC Police offer large reward in the 115th homicide of the year…

Three murders, two arrest following three separate shootings over the weekend. Police are offering a reward of up to $25k for information in the cities 115th murder on “M” Street in N.W. on Sunday. The other shootings happened in S.E..

The tides changing for Hillary Clinton in the run for the White House…

New Poll numbers by a CNN/ORC Poll shows the tides are turning back in favor of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. She’s up 42% compared to 37% last month. Bernie Sanders has dropped from 27% to 24 %.

The country’s largest Muslim Advocacy group is calling for one GOP candidate to drop out of the race…

Another GOP Presidential is on the hot seat for what they said and it’s not Donald Trump. A Muslim Advocacy group is calling for Dr. Ben Carson to drop out of the race following comment he made Sunday on “Meet the Press” where he said a Muslim should not be elected President because Islam is inconsistent with the Constitution. This morning his camp said Carson has nothing against Muslims but he does not think America is ready for a Muslim President.

Security fences set to go up around Capitol today, ahead of Pope visit…

It will be an unusually site today outside of the U.S. Capitol. Ahead of Pope Francis’ visit a security fence will go up today around the Capitol. The Pontiff is due to arrive at 4pm a Joint Base Andrews tomorrow. On Wednesday, there will be a special White House ceremony and then parade from 4am to Noon. At 3 the Pope will lead mass at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. Thursday, he will address a joint session of Congress. Look for heavy delays on the roads and along the transit system.
